Star Wars Empire Strikes Back: 3-D Movie Poster Sculpture
Each element of this 1980 release of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back has been replicated with precision sculpting. All of the detail of the original poster is captured with hand-painting on quality, cold cast resin. The sculpture is fraught with details from Vader's mask to the images of R2-D2, CP-30 and Chewbacca. Several techniques were tried when creating the master to get the paint just right and capture the essence of the original poster art. Much care was taken in bring this poster in to the Legendary Cast 3-D format. The Style A One Sheet was painted by Roger Kastel. His inspiration came from Tom Jung's 1967 re-release poster for Gone With The Wind. This version of Empire Strikes Back poster is often referred to as the Gone With The Wind Style.
